Thank you for considering 1st Gear Driving School to provide you with driving tuition in the build up to the day of your test. We specialise in teaching people to drive to the demanding standards required for safe driving on today’s roads. This can be achieved in a variety of ways:
Planned program of tuition
In this course your lessons will be arranged over a period of weeks where you will be taught all aspects of driving. When you have reached a good standard, you will be advised to apply for your driving test. Once you have passed your driving test, you will be offered the chance to receive further help in other areas such as Motorway Driving, Pass Plus etc.
Intensive Courses
This very successful method of learning has been designed for learners who wish to condense their tuition into a shorter time span. Both your theory and practical tests can be arranged for you, with the practical test booked for the final hour of your course. All courses are on a one-to-one basis (we do not believe in car sharing). We offer three main courses. They are:-
Full Course – This consists of 30 hours of in-car tuition and is designed for learners of limited or no experience.
- Intermediate Course – This consists of 20 hours of in-car tuition and is designed for learners who have had some previous driving experience.
- Short Course – This course consists of 10 hours in car tuition and is designed for learners who are experienced or who have been unsuccessful on a previous test.
- One day intensive (New) - Would you like to be taught all the basics in one day? No other driving school offers this type of course, be the first to boast to your friends "I learnt to drive in one day" (See courses for more information)
